Woodturning Lessons
Woodturning tuition with Dave at DT Woodturning.
|
Taster Session Introduction to woodturning. Introduction to the lathe and to the basic use of turning tools. With demonstration of tool use and some hands on work if desired. This is primarily for someone who might be interested in starting woodturning, with no prior knowledge of what it might involve, but will also include advice on what equipment they might need to setup as a hobby. |
Beginners We will cover: Sometimes a beginner will have already invested in a lathe and some equipment. We can then adjust the information to the use of their existing equipment, with an emphasis on basic setup, timber, tool types, sharpening, workholding, sanding and finishing. If you are interested in a beginners session and have your own equipment please provide some photos and information on your setup. Feel free to email these to me, so that we can discuss. |
